My friend Joe contacted me in early 2020 about a possible collaboration with he and a team of other talented creative individuals. It turned out to be a very productive collaboration. I provided design and illustration services for a field guide titled Look & Learn: A Field Guide for the Curious. It was an educational resource for kids visiting the outdoor sculpture experience that is The Michigan Legacy Art Park (MLAP).
The final product included details on a selection of artwork in the MLAP as well as supporting information about the art to put themes and subjects into context. I feel that it represents some of my best work.
As an added bonus, I helped develop and illustrate a series of activities including an illustrated origami miniature of the iconic sculpture A Dream of Home by artist Robert Holdeman, instructions for two DIY craft projects, a maze, crossword and coloring book pages.
